BEWARE
BEWARE - Scam company. I paid $5,000 to hire a scriptwriter. After 1 month, I let them go because they weren't performing to my standards. Instead of giving me a refund, they tried to push me another person! It's better to go on Upwork or similar freelancing platforms - the quality is pretty much the same, if not better! And you don't have to pay ridiculously high fees. A week later, I hired a scriptwriter, and the hiring fee was a fraction of the price.

Great Experience with Hope
I've been part of the Somewhere talent pool for over a year, and I'm truly grateful that Kris connected me with the right client and opportunity. From the initial conversations through to the hiring process, she was professional, supportive, responsive, and kept me informed every step of the way. She made the entire recruitment experience smooth and stress-free, and I always felt valued as a candidate. Thank you, Kris, for your dedication and for helping me secure a role that aligns with my experience and career goals.

Unreasonable recruitment process and unrealistic deadlines
I honestly don't even remember applying to Somewhere. If I did, the recruiter made no effort to provide any context (when, for which role, etc.). Instead, I was asked to update my CV, complete a questionnaire, record and upload a video introduction, and submit everything within one hour. The email arrived at 4:26 PM on a Friday. I don't even know what time zone Somewhere operates in, but where I live there wasn't even enough business time left to properly consider the opportunity, let alone prepare a professional submission. The opportunity itself may have been legitimate, but this recruitment process gave me the impression that a candidate's time has very little value. That was enough for me to decide I don't want to work with this company.

I have decided to withdraw my application.
When they reached out to me on LinkedIn, I was genuinely interested in the opportunity and was happy to proceed with the recruitment process. I have no issue completing reasonable requirements; however, I found the overall process to be overly demanding, repetitive, and not respectful of candidates' time. My feedback is as follows: 1. I was asked to complete several requirements, including creating a WhatsApp account, answering a very extensive questionnaire, and submitting a video, all within short timeframes despite informing you that I am currently employed and work every day. 2. Many of the questions required information that had already been provided in my resume/CV, while others were more appropriate for a live interview. As a result, the process felt repetitive and unnecessarily time-consuming. 3. I responded to their email with a question, but it was never acknowledged or answered, while additional requests continued to come with short deadlines. 4. Several communications were sent late at night while still expecting responses within 24 hours. I understand there may be time zone differences, but I hope the same consideration can be extended to candidates as well. 5. I was also instructed NOT to use a virtual background for my video submission. As this is a remote role, I use a virtual background simply to protect my privacy because I work from home and do not have a dedicated office. I don't believe that should have any bearing on my suitability for a remote role. After this experience, I looked into your company further and was surprised to see that similar concerns have been raised by other candidates in reviews here on Trustpilot and Google. Seeing experiences so similar to my own gave me the impression that these concerns may not yet have been fully addressed. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Since this opportunity began with their outreach to me on LinkedIn, I also hope future candidates are given greater consideration for their time and existing work commitments. Candidates who are actively recruited are often already employed, and I believe a more streamlined, less repetitive, and more considerate recruitment process would create a much better candidate experience. I wish them and their team all the best.

Somewhere.com blacklisted me??
I was recently recruited b Somewhere.com to work for an Australian Electricians firm. Unfortunately during the early months, I lost my mother due to cancer and I became diagnosed with diabetes. As such, the Australian firm decided to let me go because they needed ongoing support. I now find myself unemployed, still trying to find another role with Somewhere.com but it seems as they don't want to work with me. And there is no way of reaching them directly via email or call.

The interview process was well…
The interview process was well organized and professional from beginning to end. Communication was clear throughout each stage, and I always knew what to expect regarding the next steps. The recruiters were responsive, supportive, and kept me informed during the entire process. I appreciated the timely updates and the transparency throughout the hiring journey, which made the experience smooth and stress-free. The interview itself was a positive experience. The questions were relevant to the role, and I felt that I had a fair opportunity to discuss my skills and professional background. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend applying to this company. The process was efficient, respectful, and candidate-focused.
