Rocket Station

My experience working with Rocket Station raised a lot of red flags. In my time there and from conversations with other VAs, it felt like the company was more focused on cutting costs than supporting its team. A few major issues I saw: • Significant pay gap: Many VAs reported earning under $5/hr, while clients were being charged significantly more — often around $12/hr or higher. This disconnect felt unfair and demoralizing. • Higher admin fees: There were multiple mentions among staff that Rocket Station increased administrative fees by around 9%, which only widened the gap between what clients pay and what VAs receive. • Mass layoffs & automation: A large number of people were laid off, and it seemed roles were being shifted to AI or automation tools to save money — with very little explanation or support for affected workers. • Leadership concerns: Many felt that executives and managers weren’t accountable or engaged with the realities of VA work, leading to frustration and morale issues. • Heavy monitoring: We were required to install monitoring apps on personal devices, which raised privacy concerns and felt intrusive given the low pay. This review reflects my experience and what many former and current VAs shared in internal chats and community threads. If you’re considering working here, do thorough research and ask about compensation, fee structures, and how decisions are communicated.
