Rocket Station

My experience working with Rocket Station raised a lot of red flags. In my time there and from conversations with other VAs, it felt like the company was more focused on cutting costs than supporting its team. A few major issues I saw: • Significant pay gap: Many VAs reported earning under $5/hr, while clients were being charged significantly more — often around $12/hr or higher. This disconnect felt unfair and demoralizing. • Higher admin fees: There were multiple mentions among staff that Rocket Station increased administrative fees by around 9%, which only widened the gap between what clients pay and what VAs receive. • Mass layoffs & automation: A large number of people were laid off, and it seemed roles were being shifted to AI or automation tools to save money — with very little explanation or support for affected workers. • Leadership concerns: Many felt that executives and managers weren’t accountable or engaged with the realities of VA work, leading to frustration and morale issues. • Heavy monitoring: We were required to install monitoring apps on personal devices, which raised privacy concerns and felt intrusive given the low pay. This review reflects my experience and what many former and current VAs shared in internal chats and community threads. If you’re considering working here, do thorough research and ask about compensation, fee structures, and how decisions are communicated.

We love working with Gavin. He is a vital member of our team. He works very efficiently to handle his daily and weekly tasks in addition to jumping in on extra projects the team needs. He's a delight to work with.

Just wanted to leave an updated review, as our partnership with Rocket Station is coming to an end—but I want to be clear that this decision has nothing to do with performance. Rocket has been a huge part of my company’s growth over the last two years, and reaching a point where we can bring our call center fully in-house simply wouldn’t have been possible without their support. I especially want to highlight our two agents, Sheryl and Gracel. Both of them have been absolutely incredible. They were always eager to learn, quick to take in new information, and consistently kind and professional with our clients. Even coming into an industry they weren’t originally trained in, they embraced every piece of feedback and fully implemented our processes with care. On a personal note, managing them has been an absolute pleasure. I’ve never had two team members more willing to adapt, jump in wherever needed, and roll with constant change. I truly cannot put into words how much I’ve valued working with them. While I’m sad to see their time with us wrap up, I know they’re going to be incredible assets to whichever teams are lucky enough to have them next. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Working with Rocket Station's assistants has been an absolute joy. The ladies on my team have the best attitudes and are always ready to jump in. Weather learning new processes or sticking to old routines, Rocket Station had provided us with eager, personable, and friendly customer service agents.
