I had a positive experience with Maven thanks to Monique Stewart. She reached out to me in 2025 while I was in the midst of applying for jobs and looking for a new career. Had a phone call with her and a couple of weeks later she recommended me for a role that she thought fit my skills. Super helpful throughout the process with giving me interview prep and background knowledge about the position and company. Completed the interviews and got the good news that the company wanted to offer me a contract with potential for full time conversion. Have now been converted to full time for over 5+ months now and I am grateful for Monique's help with finding me the perfect role! Nerissa connected me with companies who were hiring for roles that fit my experience perfectly, and that helped the interviews go smoothly for both myself and the interviewers. She also sent me detailed information about each role, company, and hiring manager before sending my resume over for consideration. My interaction with Maven was short-lived and bizarre. I agreed to pursue a couple of their recommended positions, which did not come to fruition. No problem, that’s the process. When I turned down a couple, I provided feedback to help make the process more efficient. I genuinely didn’t think there was anything out of the ordinary. At some point, though, I was just ghosted. We had been speaking regularly; I was anticipating a reply to an email I had just sent them. Yet, suddenly, there was no further communication from them, without any explanation. Regardless of the reason, nothing justifies the total absence of communication, especially in a professional setting. Job searching is difficult enough without this sort of confusion, unprofessionalism, and disrespect. This is why I would not recommend Maven Recruiting Group to a friend, and why I will not be pursuing their services going forward.

My experience with Maven Recruiting Group, and specifically with Melody, was absolutely terrible. From the start, it was obvious that their priority was making a placement, not actually supporting the candidate. Melody was dismissive, unprofessional, and showed zero genuine concern once things stopped benefiting her. The moment I realized the role was a bad fit and spoke up, she tried to make me feel like I was wrong for having concerns. As soon as I made the decision to leave, she completely disappeared and never followed up. If you’re a candidate, do not trust this agency to have your best interest in mind. You are nothing more than a dollar sign to them, and once you stop being profitable, they will treat you accordingly.
